Applications are still being accepted for the Republican competition "National Literary Prize".

Annually, in order to support the development of Belarusian fiction and the creative work of writers of the Republic of Belarus, to stimulate the creation of new highly artistic works in the fields of poetry, prose, drama, journalism, literary criticism, and literary studies for adults, children, and youth, and to popularize books and reading in society, the Republican Competition "National Literary Prize" is held.

In accordance with clause 12 of the Regulations on the procedure for holding the Republican Competition "National Literary Prize", applications for participation in the competition are accepted by the Ministry of Information until April 1 of the year in which the competition is held.

Applications for participation in the competition are accepted by the Ministry of Information until April 1 of the year in which the competition is held, from individuals – authors of works or their official representatives, as well as from creative unions, publishing organizations, media editorial offices, cultural organizations, educational institutions, and scientific organizations engaged in activities in the field of fiction and literary studies. The competition is held in the following nominations: "Best Work (Collection of Works) of Poetry", "Best Work of Prose", "Best Work of Drama", "Best Work of Journalism", "Best Work of Literary Criticism and Literary Studies", "Best Work for Children and Youth", "Best Debut".
