From March 21 to 24, employees of the traffic police department of the Verkhnedvinsk District Department of Internal Affairs will conduct the republican preventive campaign "Oncoming Lane!"

This campaign is aimed at preventing road traffic accidents caused by violations of overtaking rules and entering the oncoming traffic lane.

During their duty, through overt and mixed control, traffic police officers will conduct operations on the most accident-prone sections of roads and streets in populated areas. According to Article 18.13, Part 9 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Belarus, for a driver violating the rules of overtaking or entering the oncoming traffic lane in cases where it is prohibited by traffic regulations, a fine ranging from two to ten base units is imposed, with or without deprivation of the right to drive for up to one year.
