Pike fishing is prohibited!

In order to preserve the fish resources of the Republic of Belarus and create favorable conditions for pike spawning, in accordance with paragraph 30 of the Rules of Amateur Fishing and paragraph 68 of the Rules of Fishery Management, the following is prohibited: catching of common pike in all waters of the Vitebsk region from March 9 to April 23, 2025, and in all other regions from March 1 to April 15, 2025. Any pike caught must be released back into the water alive and unharmed.

Administrative penalties for catching pike include a fine of 10 to 30 Basic Units, and for each pike caught during the spring ban on its capture, the environmental damage is calculated at triple the rate and amounts to 9 Basic Units (378 rubles).
