On February 28, the State Automobile Inspectorate will hold a unified road safety day under the slogan “You can't hide from conscience!”

Last year, 18 such traffic accidents occurred, resulting in 4 fatalities and 18 individuals sustaining injuries of varying severity. All perpetrators of these incidents were identified by traffic police officers and held accountable in accordance with legislative acts.

 

Traffic police officers will remind drivers about the causes and consequences of traffic accidents, and the liability stipulated for leaving the scene of an incident.

It is important to remember that leaving the scene of a traffic accident in which a driver is involved, in cases where it is prohibited by legislative acts, entails a fine ranging from 5 to 25 base units or the revocation of the right to engage in certain activities for a period of up to two years.
