Love for nature – in drawings
The results of the first stage of the annual republican competition for the best children's drawing on an environmental theme have been summarized.
The district stage of the competition is traditionally organized by the Verkhnedvinsk District Inspectorate of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection in conjunction with the Verkhnedvinsk District Center for Children and Youth. It is held with the aim of forming an ecological culture in children and fostering a caring attitude towards nature.
In 2025, 68 works by students from eleven educational institutions in the district were submitted to the competition in two age groups: 3-5 and 6-10 years old. In their works, the children reflected a caring attitude towards nature and a desire to preserve the biological diversity of their native region.
All works deserve worthy recognition, but a competition is a competition. By the decision of the jury, the first place in the age group from 3 to 5 years was awarded to the drawing "Everything is in our hands" by four-year-old Alexandra Bobrovskaya, the second place to "Let's Save Nature with Our Hearts" by five-year-old Konstantin Fedorov, and the third place to "Protect Nature" by five-year-old Varvara Mikhailova.
In the 6-10 years age group, the first place was taken by Nadezhda Balbeko with the drawing "Bird from the Red Book of the Republic of Belarus – Finch", the second place by Ksenia Bulavskaya – "Let's Save the Forest Together!", and the third place by Natalia Shulga – "Encounter with a Fox Cub".
The works recognized as the best have been sent to the Vitebsk Regional Committee of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection to participate in the second stage of the competition.
