What changes in social benefits can be expected from February 2025?

From February 1, the subsistence minimum amounts in Belarus will increase. Thus, the subsistence minimum per capita will increase by 2.2% compared to the amount set from November 1, 2024, and will amount to Br447.64. The new subsistence minimum amounts will be effective until April 30, 2025.

In connection with this, the amount of benefits for families raising children will increase. The amount of the benefit for the birth of a child (lump sum) will be ▪️ for the birth of the first child – 10 subsistence minimums or 4,476.40 rubles. ▪️ for the birth of the second and subsequent children – 14 subsistence minimums or 6,266.96 rubles.

The amount of the benefit for women who registered with healthcare organizations before the 12th week of pregnancy (lump sum) is 100% of the subsistence minimum or 447.64 rubles.

The amount of the benefit for families with children aged 3 to 18 during the period of raising a child under 3 years of age (monthly) will be 50% of the subsistence minimum or 223.82 rubles.

The amount of the benefit for children over 3 years old from certain categories of families provided for by law (monthly): ▪️ for children over 3 years old raised in such families (except for a child with a disability) – 50% of the subsistence minimum or 223.82 rubles. ▪️ for a child with a disability over 3 years old – 70% of the subsistence minimum or 313.35 rubles.

The benefit for childcare for a child with a disability under 18 years of age (monthly) will be: ▪️ with I and II degree of health loss until the child reaches 18 years of age and with III and IV degree of health loss until the child reaches 3 years of age – 100% of the subsistence minimum or 447.64 rubles. ▪️ with III and IV degree of health loss after the child reaches 3 years of age – 120% of the subsistence minimum or 537.17 rubles.

The benefit for children under 18 years of age infected with the human immunodeficiency virus (monthly) will be 70% of the subsistence minimum or 313.35 rubles.

The "age-related" additions to pensions will also increase: for those aged 75-79 – 83.93 rubles, and for those with a Group I disability – 195.84 rubles; for those aged 80 and older (including care allowance) – 167.87 rubles, and for those with a Group I disability – 223.82 rubles.
