The Verkhnedvinsk Central District Hospital has received new medical equipment
A new mobile paramedic and obstetric station, a video colposcope, an autorefractor, a system for long-term monitoring of blood pressure and ECG, and tonometers for measuring intraocular pressure are among the new equipment acquired by the Verkhnedvinsk Central District Hospital last year.
Kristina Romankova, the chief physician of the institution, elaborated on the modernization of the healthcare facility and its renovation plans for 2025. Annually, repairs are carried out at the polyclinic, and new medical equipment is purchased to provide high-quality and accessible medical care and create a more comfortable atmosphere for patients during their stay at the medical institution.
– Last year, after the renovation of the central district hospital's polyclinic, medical equipment was acquired: dental units for the dentistry department, and a video colposcope for the obstetrician-gynecologist's office to improve screening diagnostics of cervical diseases. The ophthalmologist's office was supplemented with an autorefractor and a slit lamp.
A washing and disinfecting machine for endoscopes was purchased. The central district hospital's vehicle fleet was replenished with two "Geely Emgrand" passenger cars. In July, a mobile paramedic and obstetric station, acquired by the Ministry of Health of Belarus with sponsorship funds, began operating, – said Kristina Romankova. – This year, we will continue to update our vehicle fleet, and stretchers for bedridden patients will be purchased.
Currently, the renovation of the therapeutic department and the emergency room at the central district hospital has been completed. The therapeutic department is designed for 40 beds. It includes a dining room for patients, call buttons for medical staff in each ward, showers for disabled individuals, and much more. The emergency room will feature additional diagnostic rooms, as well as separate manipulation and infectious disease rooms. Photos and text from the newspaper "Vitebskiye Vesti"
