A residential building burned down in the village of Kokhanovichi
On December 16, at 07:24 AM, the Central Operations Duty Unit of the Verkhnedvinsk District Department for Emergency Situations received a report of a house fire in the village of Kokhanovichi.
Upon arrival at the scene, open burning of the house was observed. The house is wooden, with a slate roof on a wooden frame, electrified, not gasified, and has stove heating (firewood). No fire alarm system installed. The owner is a pensioner.
According to neighbors, she is characterized as satisfactory and is not registered with the Internal Affairs Department.
At the time of the fire, she was in the house, left it on her own, and was not injured.
There are no casualties. As a result of the fire, the roof was destroyed, and the walls and property inside the house were damaged.
The cause of the fire is being established. The considered versions of the cause of the fire are:
1. Violation of the rules for operating stoves, heat-generating units and devices (overheating of the stove);
2. Careless handling of fire while smoking by the homeowner.
Operational groups from the Verkhnedvinsk District Department for Emergency Situations and the Internal Affairs Department responded to the fire scene.
