First Deputy Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Gennady Sabinich visited the Verkhnedvinsk district on a working visit.

Sergey Valkov, First Deputy Chairman of the District Executive Committee – Head of the Agriculture and Food Department, and Dmitry Reut, Deputy Chairman for Construction, were briefed on the progress of livestock facility construction, which is scheduled for commissioning in 2024.

 

By the end of the year, OJSC "Shaiterovo" anticipates a significant event – the commissioning of a 400-head dairy complex. Half of the milking herd will be moved into the facilities, which are being constructed ahead of schedule.

Currently, work is underway on the installation of DeLaval milking equipment and the creation of infrastructure. The commissioning of this modern production facility allows for expectations of milk yields exceeding 9,000 kilograms per cow per year.

As noted by Gennady Sabynich, the team, led by Director Mikhail Gumnenkov, does not complain about problems but seeks solutions and successfully moves towards its goals. Gennady Sabynich also inspected the construction of a dairy complex in the agro-town of Kokhanovichi, Verkhnedvinsk District. After many years of dormancy, construction has resumed here and is proceeding at an accelerated pace. The facility has been transferred to the balance of the Verkhnedvinsk Butter and Cheese Factory, which is carrying out the construction using credit and its own funds. The complex will feature a closed-loop production cycle – from calf to dairy cow.

Spacious and bright facilities are planned to house over 800 head of milking herd, with an expected daily milk output of at least 19-20 tons. This volume of production will enable the butter and cheese factory to secure its own missing local raw materials. Gennady Sabynich described the construction of the complex, utilizing modern technologies and equipment from leading manufacturers, as a model for emulation not only in the region but also in the republic, as it has no analogues in the Vitebsk region.
