Prohibition on catfish fishing from November 1, 2024 to March 31, 2025.

The Verkhnedvinsk Inter-district Inspectorate for the Protection of Fauna and Flora reports that, based on the Rules of Amateur Fishing and the Rules of Fishery Management, the catching of Wels catfish is prohibited from November 01, 2024, to March 31, 2025. Any catfish caught must be released back into the water body alive and unharmed.

Administrative penalties for catching Wels catfish include a fine ranging from 10 to 30 Basic Units. Additionally, for each individual Wels catfish caught during the closed season, the environmental damage caused is calculated at a triple rate and amounts to 12 Basic Units (480 rubles).
