The senior state traffic inspector of the Department of Internal Affairs of the Verkhnedvinsk District Executive Committee became the owner of the 'black beret'

Our fellow countryman, senior state traffic inspector of the Verkhnedvinsk District Department of Internal Affairs Nikita Golovach, passed the qualification tests for the right to wear a black beret.

 

87 employees of the OMON (Special Purpose Mobile Unit) and patrol-post service of the republic became owners of the coveted headwear. Nikita Sergeevich became the only traffic police inspector in the Vitebsk region to pass the qualification tests on the first attempt. The main symbol of police courage – the black beret – was presented to the employees by the Minister of Internal Affairs Ivan Kubrakov upon completion of the tests.

“For me, the black beret is a symbol of courage and pride,” says Nikita Golovach. “One might say that I have been striving for the right to wear it my entire conscious life. I purposefully prepared for admission to the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and after graduating, I chose my small homeland for service. I lead a healthy lifestyle, go to the gym, run, and practice hand-to-hand combat. This helped me take first place in the regional professional skills competition and become a prize-winner and winner of internal departmental competitions in self-defense and hand-to-hand combat. Our team has many employees worthy of emulation. For example, traffic police inspector Vladimir Shamshur is not only a multiple winner of hand-to-hand combat and kettlebell lifting competitions at various levels, but also a holder of a red beret.”

“At the OMON training ground in Gorany, where the qualification tests for the right to wear a black beret took place, I wanted to test myself, of course – both my physical fitness and my strength of spirit,” the young man continues. “The test consisted of several parts: I had to successfully overcome a difficult obstacle course with a forced march and tactical problem-solving, and demonstrate high skill in shooting various types of small arms. One of the most challenging tests was the sparring, which began immediately after the obstacle course. Barely catching my breath, I had to endure three rounds with strong opponents who took turns. Through fatigue and pain, I ‘took the blows’ and went on the offensive. I put all my strength into the tests. Such an exam of courage will undoubtedly be remembered for a lifetime.”

It is said that those who earned the black beret were able to "jump above their heads," but I still have room to grow. After all, service in the police is not easy and constantly tests one's strength. At the training ground, we proved that we are ready to protect the constitutional rights and freedoms of citizens, ensure law and order and public safety, and maintain stability in the state.
