The State Automobile Inspectorate will strengthen control over pedestrians' compliance with traffic rules.
From October 8 to 20, the State Traffic Inspectorate is conducting a set of preventive measures aimed at preventing traffic accidents involving and caused by vulnerable road users.
Traffic police inspectors will conduct operations at pedestrian crossings aimed at identifying traffic violations by drivers who fail to yield to pedestrians; they will strengthen control over drivers' compliance with traffic rules, patrol roads and adjacent settlements to identify and remove vulnerable road users from the roadway who create preconditions for traffic accidents.
