A cyclist died in a road accident in the Verkhnedvinsk district
The accident occurred on the evening of October 6 near house number 7 on Melioratorov Street in the village of Osveya. According to preliminary information, a 51-year-old moped driver of a "Racer" moped hit a 47-year-old cyclist who was moving in the same direction along the edge of the roadway.
As a result of the accident, the moped driver was taken to a healthcare facility with injuries sustained, while the cyclist died at the scene. An investigation is underway regarding the traffic accident. The State Automobile Inspectorate reminds: all road users must be extremely careful on autumn roads. To ensure their safety in the dark, cyclists must wear high-visibility vests. We urge all road users to comply with traffic regulations and approach their responsibilities on the road responsibly.
