|
High ambient air temperatures can negatively affect the operation of lifting equipment and amusement rides. Therefore, owners and contractors must pay attention to the following: |
- The types of lubricating and hydraulic fluids used in the systems of lifting equipment must comply with the temperature conditions under which the equipment is operated.
- Ensure the temperature and humidity operating conditions for the equipment as specified in the operating documentation. If it is impossible to maintain these conditions, the operation of the equipment must be suspended.
- The condition of the sealing connections in hydraulic and pneumatic systems, which may loosen under the influence of high temperatures.
- If possible, reduce the use of equipment during daytime hours (from 11:00 to 18:00).
Conduct awareness training for personnel involved in the operation, maintenance, repair, and installation of outdoor lifting equipment and amusement rides to ensure work is carried out without detriment to health.
