ATTENTION! Days of Sobriety are being held in the Verkhnedvinsk district

The Department of Economics of the Verkhnedvinsk District Executive Committee hereby informs about the holding of events "Day of Sobriety" on the territory of the district in 2024.

Based on the decision of the Verkhnedvinsk District Executive Committee dated 26.04.2024 No. 503 "On restricting the sale of alcoholic beverages in the Verkhnedvinsk District", the sale of alcoholic beverages is restricted on the territory of the district, with the exception of retail sales in catering establishments for consumption on the premises:

from 08:00 to 11:00 on May 25, 2024 – in connection with events aimed at promoting (popularizing) a healthy lifestyle, preventing drunkenness and alcoholism, combating them, and timed to coincide with the "Last Bell" holiday;

from 16:00 to 24:00 on June 14, 2024 – in connection with the holding of graduation parties in general secondary education institutions;

from 00:00 to 24:00 on October 3, 2024 – in connection with events aimed at promoting (popularizing) a healthy lifestyle, preventing drunkenness and alcoholism, combating them, and timed to coincide with the World Day of Sobriety and the Fight against Alcoholism.

The restrictions specified in these points do not apply to the sale of alcoholic beverages by retail outlets engaged in retail trade in connection with the holding of ritual, anniversary or wedding events.

Furthermore, we inform you that by the decision of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee dated 27.09.2021 No. 495 "On the sale of beer and low-alcohol beverages in the Vitebsk region", the following has been established:

retail sale of beer and low-alcohol beverages with an ethyl alcohol content of not more than 7 percent in the Vitebsk region is not carried out in retail outlets on days of events dedicated to the end of the academic year, as well as graduation parties in general secondary education institutions, from 08:00 on the day of the said events until 08:00 on the following day.
