From May 25 to June 5, the special comprehensive event "Attention – Children!" will be held.
During the event, drivers are required to travel during daylight hours with their low beam headlights or daytime running lights (if equipped) turned on.
Failure to comply with this legal requirement is subject to administrative liability in the form of a fine of up to 3 base amounts (Part 3 of Article 18.13 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Belarus).
Traffic police inspectors, as well as representatives of other public security police services, will visit work collectives of enterprises and organizations, conduct thematic film lectures and campaigns to explain the main causes of traffic accidents involving children, as well as preventive measures to prevent them.
The State Automobile Inspectorate urges parents to pay due attention to controlling their children's leisure time. In addition, the State Automobile Inspectorate strongly recommends that parents walk with their child along the route from home to school and back, pointing out dangerous places, and discussing common "danger zones" together.
Dear drivers! Be careful and attentive when driving on the road. Observe the speed limit, reduce speed near pedestrian crossings, public transport stops, and educational institutions, where there is the highest probability of children appearing on the roadway.
Observe the rules for transporting young passengers.
