A preventive event "Protect Children!" is being held in the Verkhnedvinsk district.

From January 5 to 14, the republic is holding the preventive event "Protect Children!".

The statistics of children killed and injured in road traffic accidents in 2023 in the republic are disappointing: the number of children injured in road traffic accidents has increased (from 397 to 440!).
Most often, child passengers became victims (36.1%). Every third injured child is a pedestrian, every fourth is a cyclist.
Due to drivers' fault, 73.4% of minors received injuries.
On the first day of the new year, a 15-year-old teenager died as a result of being hit at a pedestrian crossing in Gomel, and in the Svetlogorsk district, two more children who were being transported without special restraint devices were injured in a head-on collision.
Parents, remember!
It is you who must look after your children and ensure their safety, teach them proper behavior on the road:
cross the street only in designated places,
transport children in a car seat or other restraint device.
Teach them the "golden" rule: get in the car – fasten your seat belt.
