Attention owners of lifting cranes operating outdoors!!!
To prevent accidents and injuries during the operation of lifting cranes, we inform owners of lifting cranes and work manufacturers about the procedure for their actions upon receiving warnings of adverse hydrometeorological phenomena.
It is prohibited to perform installation work on lifting cranes, and to operate lifting cranes installed outdoors when the wind speed exceeds the limit values specified in the manufacturer's installation instructions (lifting crane passport), at temperatures below those specified in the lifting crane passport, during snowfall, rain or fog, and in other cases when the crane operator cannot clearly distinguish signals from the slinger or the load being moved.
Upon cessation of work, it is necessary to:
- move boom self-propelled cranes to the transport position;
- position tower and gantry cranes in accordance with the operating manual;
- install lifting cranes moving on outdoor crane tracks on anti-drift devices (grippers), and ensure their operability;
- ensure the operability of the crane's travel mechanism brakes;
- take additional measures if necessary (installing chocks under the travel wheels, guy wires, etc.);
- ensure that people are not present in hazardous areas.
Make the necessary entries in the duty logs.
