The State Automobile Inspectorate will hold a republican preventive campaign "Change your style to winter"
From November 27 to December 5, the State Automobile Inspectorate will hold the republican preventive campaign "Switch Your Style to Winter".
Traffic police officers will explain the main seasonal risks and road safety threats, remind about the need to operate "winterized" vehicles from December 1, as well as about the responsibility for ignoring this traffic rule requirement.
From the first day of calendar winter, traffic police inspectors will begin relevant raids. For participating in road traffic without winter tires, a fine of up to one basic unit is provided (1 BU - Br37).
A repeated violation of this kind within a year entails responsibility from 2 to 5 basic units.
Drivers need to switch to a winter driving style for the frosty season. It is unacceptable to make sudden maneuvers and lane changes. It is important to understand that in such weather conditions, the braking distance increases several times, and the risk of skidding and hitting pedestrians increases.
