On the eve of the October Revolution Day, a bridge across the Drissa River was commissioned in Verkhnedvinsk. The city and district had been waiting for this event for almost two years.

The crossing was essentially built "from scratch." Its length exceeds 150 m, and its width has increased from 7 m to 11 m. One-and-a-half-meter sidewalks have been created on both sides.
Over 30 million rubles were spent on the bridge reconstruction. Funds were allocated, including from the national budget.
Honored guests also attended the bridge opening ceremony. Among them were the Chairman of the House of Representatives Vladimir Andreichenko, the Minister of Transport and Communications Alexey Lyakhnovich, the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Alexander Subbotin, and the President's Aide - Inspector for the Vitebsk Region Igor Brylo.
Participants in this significant event included the heads of bridge construction organizations from the region and the country, as well as residents of Verkhnedvinsk and the district. Workers and specialists involved in the construction of the facility were presented with well-deserved awards.
