Don't be invisible on the road!

Due to the reduction in daylight hours, lower air temperatures, and precipitation, the road situation may become more complicated. Rain, wet snow, and frost are expected as early as today. In such weather conditions, all road users must be extremely attentive and cautious.

Drivers should avoid sudden maneuvers and be prepared for people to suddenly appear on the roadway. Pedestrians must use reflective elements, cross the road only at designated places, and ensure that all vehicles have time to stop.

In order to minimize negative trends in road safety, the State Automobile Inspectorate will conduct the republican preventive campaign "Don't Be Invisible on the Road!" from October 20 to 30. It is primarily aimed at preventing accidents involving pedestrians and cyclists and is intended to remind them of the importance of using reflective elements and high-visibility vests in the dark.

Throughout the country, traffic police patrols will be deployed to accident-prone road sections and pedestrian crossings, and will monitor compliance with traffic rules by pedestrians and cyclists, especially in the dark. Increased attention will be paid to individuals under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Also, until October 30, the traffic police are carrying out a set of preventive measures to improve the safety of passenger transportation in irregular services (by buses and taxis).

Remember that all occupants of a vehicle must be buckled up, and children must be transported in special restraint systems appropriate for their weight and height. Ensuring children's safety is the responsibility of adults. Set a personal example by instilling in them rules of safe behavior.
