Unified Safety Day
On September 21, a Unified Safety Day will be held in every region of the Vitebsk region. Under the auspices of the event, practical drills of evacuation plans will be organized in educational institutions, enterprises, and organizations. How and where to move correctly, which signs to follow to stay alive in case of fire and other emergencies, how to properly use primary fire extinguishing means and provide first aid – every resident of the region will be able to learn not only in theory but also in practice.
It is high time to prepare in advance and review the basic safety rules with specialists in this field.
What to do if a fire occurs at the workplace in an organization or office?
- Do not panic;
- Call rescuers by phone 101 or 112;
- Notify colleagues about the fire;
- Turn off electrical appliances;
- If possible, use a fire extinguisher;
- Leave the premises.
It is always worth remembering "forewarned is forearmed!", which is why it is so important to know the safety rules.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations urges parents to teach their children how to act in emergency situations, to remind them that playing with fire is dangerous, electrical appliances should only be turned on under supervision, and any careless handling of fire can lead to a fire.
