The traffic police will hold events to prevent accidents involving motorcyclists

Raids aimed at preventing road traffic accidents involving motorcycles will also take place throughout the Vitebsk region from September 12 to 17.

During the raids and massive operations, gross violations of traffic rules and hooligan actions by drivers of two-wheeled motor vehicles will be suppressed in an enhanced mode.
Special attention will be paid to the physical condition of drivers and the possession of a driver's license of the appropriate category, as well as compliance with the speed limit and maneuvering rules.
Since the beginning of the motorcycle season, the number of two-wheeled vehicles on the roads has increased, and consequently, the number of traffic accidents involving them.
To avoid trouble, it is necessary to strictly observe the Traffic Rules and not ignore the recommendations of the traffic police.
Do not engage in pointless motorcycle races, observe the speed limit set for motorcycles: in settlements – up to 60 km/h, outside settlements – up to 90 km/h.
It is also necessary to avoid "blind spots" when overtaking or passing, and when moving in traffic, strictly stay in your lane and in a single file. It is also necessary to maintain a safe distance and lateral interval.
In addition, do not forget about the motorcycle helmet – it must be fastened, this will help to avoid serious injuries in case of a fall, the same applies to motorcycle gloves.
Under no circumstances should you drive a motorcycle while intoxicated – the road rarely forgives this, the traffic police emphasized.
