The main event of the domestic book world – the XXX Day of Belarusian Written Language this season promises great discoveries

Firstly, geographical. When else will there be an occasion to visit Horadok, the birthplace of Konstantin Verenitsyn, the author of "Taras on Parnassus"?

Secondly, scientific discoveries await the reading public. Dozens of publications dedicated to little-known pages of Belarusian history, each domestic publisher has prepared something special for the holiday.
And thirdly, Horadok will welcome guests with artistic discoveries. New sculptural compositions and a mural with the coats of arms and names of all cities that have hosted the Day of Belarusian Written Language. But, most importantly, only here can you stock up on reading material for the whole year in two days.
The opening ceremony of the XXX Day of Belarusian Written Language will take place on September 2nd at 20:00. The names of the winners of the National Literary Prize will be announced then, among others. Let's reveal a secret: all six winners are from the regions, which indicates that literature is developing not only in Minsk today.
Horadok is the fifth center of the Day of Belarusian Written Language in the Vitebsk region in 30 years.
Previously, it was hosted three times by the birthplace of the first printer, Francysk Skaryna, the ancient Polotsk, and once each by Hlybokaye, Pastavy, and Orsha.
