We are starting the harvest and maintaining the pace of fodder production
Farmers of the agricultural enterprise "Kohanovichi" are continuously engaged in fodder harvesting: the first mowing has been completed on time, and the second is nearing completion.
Almost 12,000 tons of haylage and grain-haylage have been harvested against a requirement of 13,000 tons. The farm is also showing a surplus in the quantity of feed units compared to last year.
Vasily Moroz is working effectively, having processed 5993 tons of wilted mass, and Viktor Kozlov – 5143 tons. Uninterrupted transportation is ensured by Ivan Zhuk, Yuri Gailish, Valery Chervinsky, and Sergey Yuryev.
In the mowing of perennial grasses, Alexander Zhorov, Vasily Pilnik, and Alexey Burdo are leading, and in raking the wilted mass – Dmitry Razbinskiy and Nikolay Suvorov. And machine operator Ivan Kukso on a K-701 has compacted 11,308 tons!
– This year, due to drought, we were unable to fully complete the first mowing, – says chief agronomist Alexander Kozlov. – Therefore, it was decided to use some grain plots for fodder harvesting as
grain-haylage.
Grain growers intend to complete the harvest within a week – as much time will be needed to finish fodder harvesting. Seven harvesters are ready to go into the fields, with both seasoned professionals and young, but promising, combine operators at the controls.
