Senior Lieutenant Vladimir Mikhailovich Moskalёv is a senior inspector at the Grigorovshchina border control unit. He has dedicated over 25 years to border service.

Vladimir Moskalёv decided to connect his life with law enforcement agencies immediately after completing his army service, to which he was conscripted by the Verkhnedvinsk District military commissariat in 1995.

– I believe it is important for a man to complete his compulsory military service, – says Vladimir Mikhailovich. – The army instills discipline, fosters independence, and a sense of responsibility.

After serving for a year and a half, Vladimir Moskalёv did not choose to be discharged into the reserve. He returned to his native district – he is from the village of Chistopolye – and entered contract service at the Bigosovo-3 border control unit (now "Grigorovshchina"). He admits that he did not have any grand plans; he wanted to try working, test his abilities, and see how things would go. As a result, he realized he was fortunate to find "his" profession and remained in border service.

Over the years of service, various incidents have occurred. What attempts are not made by offenders to circumvent the law: crossing the border without documents, incitement, transportation of prohibited goods – this is just a small list of offenses that Vladimir Moskalёv has encountered during his 26 years of border service. And criminals have always faced just punishment. Currently, due to the tense situation around Belarus, it is necessary to be doubly vigilant, but for now, Vladimir Mikhailovich asserts, everything is quite calm – there are only slightly more state border law violators than usual.

- This year, the border service agencies are celebrating their 105th anniversary, – says Vladimir Moskalёv. – In this regard, I congratulate all my colleagues and veterans on their professional holiday, wishing them success in their service, strength, patience, and good health. And to the young men who are still choosing their life path and considering service in the border guard agencies, I want to say: go for it! Moreover, such conditions are being created now that you can immediately enter into contract service instead of compulsory service: live at home, receive a monetary allowance, and fulfill your civic duty, defend the Motherland.
