April 22 – Republican voluntary work day

The republican subbotnik will be held in Belarus on April 22.

Having long enriched the treasury of traditions of modern Belarus, it will continue the glorious historical chronicle of creation, which has its roots in the distant past and largely predetermined our peaceful and comfortable life today.
But this year, the main meaning of the subbotnik is special: it is designed to strengthen the spiritual health of the nation. By the Resolution of the Council of Ministers, signed by Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko, it is stipulated that half of the funds earned on the day of the subbotnik-2023, including at workplaces, are planned to be directed to the Gomel Regional Executive Committee for the reconstruction of the memorial complex for the prisoners of the Ozarichi death camp, located in the Kalinkovichi district. Another 50 percent will be transferred to the Brest Regional Executive Committee for the creation of a republican center for patriotic education of youth on the basis of the Kobrin Fortress of the Brest Fortress.
