Spring sowing is gaining momentum in the fields of the district
Spring sowing is in full swing in the fields of the district. The task of the day is to sow seeds of early spring crops into the soil within optimal deadlines.
Experienced farmers know that every day of delay means a loss of one centner of harvest per hectare. Therefore, all efforts are focused on adhering to technologies.
Farmers are working to speed up operations in all farms without exception. At OAO "Antonovo-Agro", a rapid pace of work was set from the start, and with favorable weather, they plan to complete sowing by the May holidays. Of course, no one is immune to nature's surprises. But, whatever happens, local farmers are hoping for a good harvest, remembering the folk wisdom: a spring day feeds the year.
– The plan for this year's spring sowing of grain and leguminous crops is 600 hectares, – said the chief agronomist of the agricultural enterprise, Tatyana Sobolevskaya.
– We also plan to sow 300 hectares of corn and 204 hectares of spring rapeseed, whose time is approaching. Simultaneously, the farm is carrying out the entire complex of spring field work, except for plowing – the soil was maximally prepared in the autumn.
In the "Aerodrom" tract, mechanizers Viktor Kadushko, Anatoly Klim, and Alexander Kozlov are sowing barley. These are experienced grain growers, each with decades of experience as a mechanizer. They know from personal experience that the future harvest largely depends on the quality of sowing. Alexander Snopok is working on loading seeders and delivering seeds.
– We are coping with the daily tasks. We try to adhere to technological requirements in all operations. Before the sowing campaign, we were informed about the rates and competition conditions. Now the task is to sow on time and with high quality, – says Alexander Kozlov.
– Field work is well organized, and two meals a day have been established. I am confident that we will sow on time.
In the hot spring days, Vitaliy Dadeko, Sergey, and Roman Kondratenok are working on soil cultivation. Vitaliy Bulavsky is applying mineral fertilizers. Alexander Obukhovich and Ivan Kudrets are involved in applying organic fertilizers, and Sergey Kachanov is engaged in loading.
Winter crops occupy 730 hectares in the farm, and rapeseed – 185 hectares. Specialists of the agronomic service assess the condition of the crops after a snowy and frosty winter as satisfactory. The grain crops overwintered well, but the loss of rapeseed amounted to 52 hectares. The crops are receiving comprehensive care. In particular, the first top dressing of winter crops has already been completed here, and they are starting the second. The next stage
is protective – the plants will be treated against diseases and pests.
An important link in the chain of success is people. Hardworking, responsible, caring about the common cause, true professionals. And there are many such people here. For example, the Kozlov dynasty. Nikolay Kozlov is "feeding" winter crops on the Dvina, and his father Alexander is engaged in sowing. Their uncle Vladimir Kozlov delivers UAN to him. They have different tasks, but one goal – to cope with the assigned task as quickly and efficiently as possible. Roman Kibalnik "feeds" pastures, and Denis Dytko and Nikolay Yakovlev deliver fertilizers to him.
– Today we have almost everything for successful work in the fields, – summarizes Tatyana Sobolevskaya. – The main thing is that the weather and equipment do not fail!
