Military commissariats celebrate an anniversary

April 8 marks the 105th anniversary of the establishment of military commissariats. On the eve of this professional holiday, Lieutenant Colonel Denis MILINCHUK, Military Commissar of the Verkhnedvinsk District, spoke about the work of the structure that guards the security of the Fatherland.

Throughout their existence, the bodies of local military administration have solved responsible tasks related to the heroic history of our country's Armed Forces. From mobilization, manning of units and formations of the Red Army, material supply of troops, organization of universal military training for the population to replenishing the active army during the Great Patriotic War, creating reserve military formations, and manning military schools and training centers, commissariats have always coped with a large volume of work.
And today, they successfully perform tasks to ensure the military security of sovereign Belarus, maintain the combat and mobilization readiness of the Armed Forces, other military formations, patriotic education, and the organization of territorial defense.

The commissariat conducts military training, prepares conscripts for medical, professional, and psychological selection, and recruits and assigns citizens to military service. It ensures social protection for veterans, including those of the Great Patriotic War, servicemen, military pensioners and their families, internationalist soldiers, and participants in the liquidation of the Chernobyl NPP accident consequences.
Our countrymen, numbering over 50 people annually, serve in various units and detachments of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus, border guard agencies, internal troops, and other military formations. We are proud that they honorably fulfill their military duty.
We pay great attention to the military-professional orientation of students, which is carried out in cooperation with educational institutions, military units, and formations.
On the eve of the holiday, I express words of gratitude to our respected veterans, everyone who has headed the military commissariat at different times, who have dedicated many years to service in the military commissariat and are working here today. I wish you further fruitful activities for the benefit of the Fatherland, strong health, happiness, and well-being both at work and in your families, and, of course, peaceful skies over our Motherland.
