В Витебске на базе центра безопасности МЧС откроют новый программный комплекс с уклоном в ЗОЖ

A new software complex with a focus on a healthy lifestyle will be launched at the Ministry of Emergency Situations' safety center in Vitebsk

On World Health Day, celebrated on April 7, Vitebsk will welcome the opening of a new software complex "Harmful Habits" at the Ministry of Emergency Situations safety center in Vitebsk.

The complex was developed by students and faculty of Polotsk State University named after E. Polotskaya. They will also demonstrate the capabilities of the simulator. Sofya Glinskaya, the official representative of the Vitebsk Regional Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, shared the details:

— The software complex is a large tablet measuring 1300 by 70 centimeters. The simulator scans a person standing in front of it and, using augmented reality, shows the impact of harmful habits on our body. For example, changes in the liver at various stages of alcoholism, lungs in smokers, the brain in those who have used drugs at least once, and the oral cavity in snus users. All processes are presented in detail and realistically. And this is only a small part of the complex's capabilities. The device even vocalizes the complete history of a particular disease caused by the use of dangerous substances.

On the same day, a discussion platform will be held where representatives of the regional department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and PSU will discuss the prospects for further cooperation. Sofya Glinskaya noted:

— This is not the first joint project between the Ministry of Emergency Situations and PSU. Similar augmented reality software complexes for teaching the population the basics of life safety are actively used in the safety centers of the Vitebsk region. However, this particular innovation with a focus on a healthy lifestyle, which we are presenting on World Health Day, can be called a debut for the northern region. By the end of the year, we plan to have similar complexes appear in Novopolotsk and Baran of the Orsha district as well.

On Friday, April 7, the most advanced healthy lifestyle advocate will be determined at the Ministry of Emergency Situations safety center in Vitebsk. Teams with participants aged 15 to 60+ will compete for this title. Rescuers will conduct a quest game "Health for All" for them, in one of the stages of which the new simulator will be used.
