Residents of the Vitebsk region share their opinions on the upcoming Address of the President to the Belarusian people and Parliament

Each Address by the President to the Belarusian people and parliament becomes a kind of roadmap, which managers at all levels follow in the development of their field or region. This opinion was shared by Marina Novitskaya, Head of the Main Department of Ideological Work and Youth Affairs of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee.

This will be her second time attending one of the fundamental events with the participation of the head of state – the President's Address to the Belarusian people and parliament, which will take place on March 31. Last year, among the many topics and issues raised, Alexander Lukashenko voiced a proposal by Anna Kozlova from Vitebsk, who was then a member of the Youth Parliament. She advocated for the introduction of Father's Day in the country, the President supported this idea, and already on October 21, 2022, Belarusians celebrated the new holiday. "Such moments are very memorable, they are indicative and show the head of state's attention to rational initiatives. In my opinion, each such Address is a programmatic statement, on the basis of which managers at all levels build roadmaps for the development of their districts and fields of activity," noted Marina Novitskaya.

Tatyana Adamian, Director of the V. Lenin Regional Library:

– The President's Address is the most important event in the political life of the country, which defines the main directions and strategy for the development of the state. It will be a bright, interesting, and memorable speech. I can assert this, as I was a delegate last year and personally attended the President's address to the Belarusian people. I was very impressed.

What do we expect from the speech? Of course, it will be an analysis of the current situation. As I recall from last year, the President dwelled in detail on foreign policy, relations with other states, and the foreign economic activity of our country. Social issues that concern people, in particular, healthcare and education, will undoubtedly be raised. We, cultural workers, await answers to pressing issues in the field of culture.

Tomorrow, in the assembly hall of the regional library, we will have a live broadcast, and both library staff and anyone interested will be able to hear the speech of the President of Belarus.

Alexander Shubsky, Chairman of the Glubokoye District Executive Committee:

– Tomorrow, the President of our country will deliver the Address to the nation and the parliament. This landmark event will not be overlooked by millions of citizens of our country. In his speech, Alexander Lukashenko will clarify many directions of state policy. In the current situation that has developed around Belarus, this is extremely necessary, as it is important to understand what to expect from the actions of unfriendly forces and how to prepare for it.

The Address of the President to the nation and the parliament is always filled with special meanings, close to the patriotically minded citizens of our country. This is a peaceful sky above our heads, creative labor, a peace-loving foreign policy, social security for citizens, respect for war and labor veterans, protection of childhood and motherhood, strengthening the country's defense capability, developing the healthcare system, and much more. The Head of State will light new beacons for the Belarusian people, which will need to be guided by in order for our country to grow stronger and develop.

Undoubtedly, the President will also name new directions of state work, as Belarusian society does not stand still but develops progressively, and it is important to introduce innovations to keep up with modern trends. Therefore, the President's Address should be considered as a set of tasks, the solutions to which the Belarusian people will have to develop and achieve the set goals in the near future.
