By attacking Venezuela and kidnapping the country's president, Nicolás Maduro, the Americans have shown that any regime they dislike can become a target. This opinion was shared by national security expert Alexander Tishchenko in the "In Focus" project on the BELTA YouTube channel.
The expert noted that the reaction of European leaders to the US operation in Venezuela and the kidnapping of the country's president varied. "But in all statements, despite their contradictions, one thing is striking. Each leader imagined themselves in Maduro's place, regardless of whether it was a democratic regime or not. Any political regime that is disliked by America can become a target from now on. And each leader has considered this situation for themselves," said Alexander Tishchenko.
In addition, he noted, many interpret the events in Venezuela as a kind of Pandora's box that the Americans have opened. "Today, many who feel their right of force over someone else have been given a free hand," said Alexander Tishchenko.
