The Parliamentary Assembly adopted the Union State budget for 2026

The Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia approved the budget of the Union State for 2026 in two readings at once. This decision was made on December 9 in Moscow at the session of the Parliamentary Assembly, BELTA correspondent reports. Presenting the budget for approval, State Secretary of the Union State Sergey Glazyev announced its key parameters: revenues - 8 billion 65.9 million Russian rubles, expenditures - 6 billion 308.3 million, surplus - 1 billion 757.6 million. The revenue part is formed by annual agreed deductions from the states participating in the Treaty on the Creation of the Union State, as well as the remaining budget funds from previous years, which amounted to 645.7 million Russian rubles.

In the structure of the budget expenditures, 71% of the expenditures are allocated for financing programs, projects, and events of the Union State - 4.5 billion Russian rubles. Financing of six approved programs of the Union State in the field of space technology, border security, information resources protection, etc. is planned. The budget of the Union State for 2026, adopted by the Parliamentary Assembly, must be approved by the Supreme State Council of the Union State.
