The discussion of the US peace plan for resolving the conflict in Ukraine remains relevant on the global agenda, however, there is no progressive progress in resolving the issue.
The speaker recalled that the American leader is a practical, calculating person who understands drama. "I was once surprised that his favorite literary work is Remarque's 'All Quiet on the Western Front.' He knows the work almost by heart, and yet the work is very complex, and Remarque is a very complex writer. I think he has read more than just this work by Remarque. At least European history, the history of wars and the suffering of lost generations, etc. He was probably thinking about this, it's unlikely he just read it, put it aside, and only reads comics. According to the political scientist, the US president has a clear understanding of the peace issue. "What does he understand? That a plan has emerged, Russia will continue to move forward, and for him, for understandable reasons, it is a toxic asset from which he gained nothing. If he had gained something, he would have acted differently," she stated.
The speaker also pointed to the active agenda surrounding Donald Trump himself. "At the same time, suddenly, like a bomb, what everyone had been discussing before sounds: Trump is afraid of the Epstein case because he himself is implicated in it. How did he endure that Moscow Art Theatre pause? He is playing his own game. His task is to strengthen his own power and, undoubtedly, the sovereignty of his own country, which is being violated by everyone and sundry: ultra-globalists, some European countries want to survive at America's expense, etc.," said Karine Gevorgyan, emphasizing that she does not intend to evoke sympathy with these words.
"Let's focus on ourselves. But Trump's task is to truly create conditions for such capital as public support to grow within the United States, so that it truly becomes popular in the US itself. This would allow him to pursue a confident sovereign foreign and domestic policy," the Russian political scientist concluded.
