Volfovich spoke about plans to discuss the development of AI at the level of the President of Belarus
In the near future, issues of artificial intelligence development may be considered at a separate event with the participation of the President of Belarus. State Secretary of the Security Council Aleksandr Volfovich, who is part of the Belarusian delegation in Bishkek participating in the CSTO summit, shared these plans with journalists, as reported by a BELTA correspondent.
The head of the State Secretariat said that this topic is also being discussed with CSTO partners. He considers it necessary to develop analytical potential to respond to relevant challenges.
"Everything related to artificial intelligence needs to be elevated to a new level, discussed, and accordingly, decisions need to be made. In particular, such decisions will be made in Belarus. It has been proposed to the President to hold a meeting in the near future. A closed meeting, perhaps. Or perhaps a separate Security Council meeting will be dedicated to the issues of artificial intelligence development," said Aleksandr Volfovich.
He did not rule out that a decision might be made to create cyber troops as part of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus or other military structures of the state. "The President supported this. We will prepare for this meeting sometime in the first quarter of next year," added the head of the State Secretariat.
