Minibuses will be under special control of the traffic police of the Minsk region from November 20 to 25

From November 20 to 25, the State Automobile Inspectorate of the Minsk Region is conducting a set of preventive measures aimed at controlling passenger transportation, including by route transport (categories M2 and M3). This was reported to BELTA by the Department of State Automobile Inspectorate of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Minsk Regional Executive Committee. Traffic police officers will daily monitor compliance with traffic rules by drivers of route vehicles and other traffic legislation.

Traffic police will pay special attention to the following violations: transportation of passengers not wearing seat belts in intercity and suburban traffic, as well as exceeding the number of passenger seats indicated in the registration documents; exceeding the established speed limit; entering the oncoming lane in places where it is prohibited; transporting passengers in a faulty vehicle; running a red light; failure to yield to pedestrians at pedestrian crossings.
