The National Statistical Committee has assessed the national progress in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, BELTA reports.

"Belarus is committed to the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The key objectives set focus on achieving high standards of living for the population, qualitative economic growth, the formation of a fully competitive environment, the creation of comfortable conditions for life and personal potential development, and the preservation of natural systems for present and future generations. Based on the assessment conducted by Belstat using data for the period from 2015 to 2024, 82.3% of indicators demonstrate significant progress and high results," the committee stated. Currently, the national list includes 245 indicators for achieving the SDGs, of which 172 correspond to global indicators, indicating a very high level of harmonization between the national and global lists. The data availability indicator has reached 95%, with 10 SDGs showing 100% data availability. High progress indicators confirm the seriousness of Belarus's intentions in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, Belstat noted.
