What does the emergence of enterprises under the "One District - One Project" initiative bring to small towns?
The emergence of new production facilities in district centers and small towns not only creates jobs and generates budget revenues but also contributes to the overall development of the district. This was stated to journalists in Sharkovshchina by Igor Sergeenko, Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly and the President's authorized representative in the Vitebsk region, after the opening of a direct-pressed juice production enterprise, as reported by a BELTA correspondent.
Igor Sergeenko participated in the opening ceremony of the enterprise. The new production facility has created 20 jobs for local residents, with an additional 30 expected in the future. What benefits do such enterprises bring to small towns? "New jobs, budget revenues, and most importantly, it's the development of the district, we retain personnel. Today, about 6,000 people live in Sharkovshchina. It's a very small urban settlement that is acquiring a new look – two years ago, the 'Dazhynki' festival was held here, and new facilities are appearing. I would like to see more of this in other regions of our country," he noted.
The new plant in Sharkovshchina was built as part of the "One District - One Project" initiative, and Igor Sergeenko emphasized its positive impact on the economic development of districts. "Thanks to the implementation of this program, the economic landscape of our country is changing. It is evident today that in such a turbulent world, only a strong government, acting in the interests of the people and relying on a robust economy and domestic business, can preserve the country. Today, the economy of our country is being built brick by brick through such facilities," added the Chairman of the House of Representatives.
Igor Sergeenko also took part in the opening of the renovated fire and rescue unit in Sharkovshchina and visited several agricultural enterprises in the district.
