The doll-symbol of the Vitebsk region was presented at the regional forum of the Belarusian Women's Union "Parental Love is a Great Force"
A grand celebration, organized by the regional organization of the Belarusian Women's Union, crowned the Week of Parental Love, which was filled with charity events and celebrations in honor of Mother's Day and Father's Day.
The gifts of the generous autumn, arranged in intricate compositions, not only highlighted the rich imagination of the participants from the primary organizations of the Belarusian Women's Union but also brought good cheer, delighting with a multitude of colors and shapes.
As part of the forum, the traditional "Mom's Pies" event took place. Delicious baked goods and homemade preserves were presented to the soldiers of the 103rd Guards Airborne Brigade.
Families who have become examples of sincere love and respect were invited to the celebration, including the large Vyalyov family with 13 children, and a young family. Addressing them, the Deputy Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee, Vyacheslav Durnov, emphasized:
"The family is the foundation, the bedrock upon which every state stands. And if there are more families like yours, our country will be stronger."
Love cements families: both the love of parents for children and the love of children for parents. Young people should not postpone having children; it is the laughter of children that strengthens a family.
The doll exhibition, presented at the competition organized by the regional organization of the Belarusian Women's Union, which took place from August to October 2025, attracted significant attention.
-- Today is truly a holiday that touches the hearts of all caring people, -- noted the chairperson of the regional organization of the Belarusian Women's Union, Marina Novitskaya. -- The Week of Parental Love started on October 14, on Mother's Day, and concludes on the newest holiday, Father's Day. Today, we express our gratitude to those who gave us life, who allow us to feel like children.
It is symbolic that it is today that we are summing up the results of our competition for the creation of a doll – the symbol of our organization. All the works were made with love and deserve praise. It was not easy for the jury to determine the very best, but according to the voting results, the work of the master of folk art crafts of the Dokshitsy District House of Crafts, Tatiana Martinovich, won.
The results of the competition "Women for the Food Security of Their Family and Their Country" were also announced, where the Grand Prix was won by the primary organization of the Belarusian Women's Union of the Regional Center for Psychiatry and Narcology.
The Week of Parental Love concluded with a festive concert.
