В Витебске БСЖ в преддверии учебного года организовал мероприятие для отцов, воспитывающих детей в одиночку

In Vitebsk, the Belarusian Women's Union organized an event for single fathers ahead of the academic year

On the eve of the new academic year, a celebration with school gifts and entertainment was held in Vitebsk, aimed at supporting fathers raising children on their own. The event was organized by the Vitebsk Regional Organization "Belarusian Women's Union" with the support of partners.

Families from all corners of the Vitebsk region gathered for the event. Each head of the family received a certificate for school supplies and treats from the BSW partner enterprises. The organizers also prepared a rich program for children and fathers: musical performances, sweet treats, a soap bubble show, face painting, and photo zones. The children were particularly delighted by the mascot characters and ATVs.

The Belarusian Women's Union cares not only for children and women but also for single fathers, noted Natalia Neusheva, Deputy Chairperson of the Vitebsk Regional Organization of the BSW:

"It is important for us to pay attention to everyone. Such events are an opportunity to meet, communicate, and share experiences."

Public figures and businesses joined the initiative. Irina Levkovich, a member of the Council of the Republic, provided personal support. She thanked the fathers for their courage and care for their children. Among the partners was also the Orsha Meat Canning Plant, which provided families with baby food sets.

Viktor Gridyushko from the Sharkovshchyna district, who is raising two sons, shared his impressions:

"It's interesting here for both me and the children today; it's our first time at such an event. Of course, it's hard to live with two children on one salary. State support for the loss of a breadwinner greatly improves the situation. The certificate will also ease the financial burden before September 1. And in general, it's pleasant to receive attention and gifts."

The celebration was one of the first in a series of planned events for the BSW charity marathon dedicated to the Day of National Unity, which will last until the Week of Parental Love. Its main goal is to provide additional care and support to all families in need.
