Deputy Chairman of the State Customs Committee Andrey Bolshakov took part in a meeting to summarize the work of the Vitebsk Customs for the first half of 2025, where he assessed the situation in the region and set tasks for the team for the upcoming half-year.
He noted the positive dynamics in the customs clearance of import and transit goods, the performance of customs officials in carrying out certain border control functions, and the results of identifying administrative and criminal offenses.
Andrey Bolshakov thanked his colleagues for their work and, outlining priority tasks for the future, paid special attention to ensuring the replenishment of the republican budget, strengthening customs control, including by maximizing the use of scanning equipment, intensifying efforts to identify significant offenses, and increasing the economic efficiency of preventive measures.
Special attention is paid to the organization and implementation of timely customs clearance of goods and vehicles, taking into account the seasonal increase in the number of individuals crossing the border, including by bus, which is observed in the customs' area of responsibility.
