Vitebsk regional organization of BPRZ and the main department for healthcare of the regional executive committee signed a new cooperation agreement
A Cooperation Agreement for 2025-2028 was signed by the Vitebsk Regional Organization of the Belarusian Trade Union of Healthcare Workers and the Main Department for Healthcare of the Regional Executive Committee. The document includes commitments concerning all areas of joint work. The agreement was sealed by the signatures of Vladimir Plytkevich, Chairman of the Regional Organization of the BPRZ, and Mikhail Vishnevetsky, Head of the Main Department for Healthcare of the Regional Executive Committee.
– One of the most significant achievements, and this initiative is supported by the regional healthcare department, is that under the contract, everyone working in the healthcare sector receives a minimum bonus of 30%, – noted Vladimir Plytkevich. – Support also extends to youth, children's health improvement, and education. A whole set of provisions relates to contract extensions. For example, if a person has three years left until retirement, their contract is extended for at least three years; if a working pensioner has an underage child pursuing higher or secondary education, their contract is not terminated. Among the innovations is also the fact that notification of reorganizations occurs three months in advance. The agreement will be valid for three years, and each new document of this kind is better than the previous one.
Key points include the creation of optimal conditions for the stable work of labor collectives, the development of human resources, and the maintenance and increase of employee wages, taking into account the current remuneration system in the industry.
– The current agreement, signed today with the regional committee of the healthcare workers' trade union, is primarily aimed at defending the rights of our workers, not only medical professionals but everyone employed in the healthcare sector, – emphasized Mikhail Vishnevetsky. – While adhering to the existing parameters of the agreement, we are introducing new ones. They concern the protection of interests and the integration of young specialists into the profession, and mentorship as an important factor of support in the initial stages. Measures are also provided to increase the effectiveness of social support for young specialists. The industry must operate clearly, rhythmically, and evenly. For this to happen, people employed in it must not only be provided with work but also appreciate the conditions created for them.
