To the attention of individuals crossing the State Border of the Republic of Belarus!
The Law of the Republic of Belarus of July 21, 2008 No. 419-Z "On the State Border of the Republic of Belarus" (hereinafter referred to as the Law) provides definitions for terms such as "border crossing point" and "regime at border crossing points."
A border crossing point is a territory (water area) within a railway station, river port, or airport open for international communication (international flights), as well as any other specially designated and equipped area where individuals, vehicles, and goods are cleared across the State Border.
The regime at border crossing points refers to the procedure for entry (arrival) into border crossing points, movement within border crossing points, and exit (departure) from them by individuals and vehicles, including the rights, obligations, and restrictions for individuals present at border crossing points.
The regime at border crossing points is established to create the necessary conditions for carrying out border and other types of control, and is supervised by border guard authorities and customs authorities (at simplified crossing points – by border guard authorities) within their competence.
In accordance with the Law, the following actions are prohibited at border crossing points, including:
taking photographs and videos;
making phone calls using mobile communication devices that interfere with border and other types of control;
leaving cash in documents submitted for inspection;
changing the parking positions of vehicles without the permission of border guard officers and customs officials;
committing other actions that interfere with border and other types of control.
Please note that the requirements of border guard officers and customs officials regarding compliance with the regime at border crossing points are mandatory for all persons present at border crossing points.
Violation of the regime at border crossing points across the State Border of the Republic of Belarus entails administrative liability in the form of a fine of up to 50 basic units, with or without deportation.
