Attention! Fire hazard period!
With the arrival of warm weather, owners of private households tidy up their plots, including by burning garbage and dry vegetation. Often, burning garbage, dry vegetation, and bushes leads to the spread of fire to residential buildings and outbuildings. Sometimes, a seemingly harmless fire leads to tragedy – loss of life.
To prevent fire emergencies, simple safety rules should be followed when making bonfires and cooking on grills (barbecues), namely:
– use special cooking appliances, and make bonfires only under continuous supervision of the burning and smoldering process;
– areas for making bonfires should be cleared of combustible substances and materials, dry vegetation, and equipped with extinguishing agents;
– the burning and smoldering process should be carried out in such a way that flames and sparks do not fall on combustible elements of buildings, outbuildings, and structures, as well as on stored combustible substances and materials;
– upon completion of the burning process, the remains of burning (smoldering) materials should be extinguished until smoldering completely ceases.
– do not allow bonfires on peat soils, under tree crowns;
– do not allow bonfires or the use of special cooking appliances on balconies, loggias, terraces, roofs, and stilobates, unless their placement is provided for by the design documentation;
– do not allow the burning of dry vegetation on the root in the adjacent territory, land plots provided for collective gardening or dacha construction.
It should be remembered that burning dry vegetation on the root, crop residues, as well as failure to take measures to extinguish fires entails administrative liability.
