Игорь Сергеенко ознакомился с ходом подготовки к весенне-полевым работам в Миорском районе

Igor Sergeenko familiarized himself with the progress of preparations for spring field work in the Miory district

As per the instruction of the President of the Republic of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, the Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly, Igor Sergeenko, undertook a working trip to the Miory District.

He visited a number of agricultural enterprises and familiarized himself in detail with the situation at each farm, identifying problem areas. Particular attention was paid to the readiness of agricultural machinery for spring field work, livestock housing conditions, feed availability, and storage conditions.

Specifically, at OJSC "Lyubinovo," the situation is as follows: milk yield per cow is slightly over 4 liters, and weight gain for cattle is about 300 grams. This is clearly insufficient. Specialists from the Ministry of Agriculture and Food emphasized to the head the need for more rigorous accounting and identification of cows, pedigree work, and ensuring epidemic safety. They cited leaders in this field as examples: at SUP "Titovo," milk yield per cow exceeded 6 thousand tons per year, and at OJSC "Shaiterovo" in the Verkhnedvinsk District, it was 8 thousand tons.

Attention should also be paid to the quality of feed. A sufficient amount was procured last year, however, it is important to preserve it.

Regarding the readiness of agricultural machinery for spring field work, at OJSC "Lyubinovo" it stands at 73.3%. The machine and tractor fleet requires modernization. Some repairs are carried out in-house, and assistance is also requested from specialized enterprises. Meanwhile, the summer grazing season is not far off. Igor Petrovich instructed to accelerate the preparation of mobile milking units.

At UP "Cheressy," all trailed equipment is ready for sowing, and tractors will be brought to readiness in the second decade of March. Livestock performance indicators are at the average district level: about 10 liters of milk are obtained per cow per day, and weight gain for heifers is around 500 grams. The farm has potential.
