Sergey Levkovich, Aide to the President – Inspector for the Vitebsk Region, held a personal reception of citizens at the regional executive committee.
Residents of the northern region turned to the Aide to the President – Inspector for the Vitebsk Region, Sergey Levkovich, with pressing issues, complaints about the inaction of responsible services, disagreements with decisions made, and personal matters.
For example, for a year now, residents of house No. 59 on Lenina Street have been struggling with basement flooding from sewage. Periodically, the smell of feces can be detected when approaching the entrance. People call the "115" service, the housing and utility service No. 1, and emergency repair crews. Some work is being done, but the problem is not being solved. Residents of the neighboring house, No. 61, also appealed to the Aide to the President with a similar complaint. Sergey Levkovich instructed the city authorities to thoroughly address this issue.
“I have been approached more than once about basement flooding in various districts of the regional center. Serious measures must be taken to eliminate such complaints,” noted the Aide to the President.
Alexey Geroev, Chairman of the Vitebsk City Executive Committee, explained that starting this year, the "Basements" program will be implemented. It includes 70 houses, and 3 million has been allocated for the work.
Individual entrepreneur Andrey Abramovich raised a relevant issue.
“Since 2019, we have improved the beach on Lake Polonskoye in the Vitebsk district. We have cleaned the bottom. We provide various services: gazebo rental, banana boat rides. Our services are free for children from the local school. Many people come here for recreation. On sunny days, over a thousand people gather on the beach. This is according to data from OSVOD, which has set up its post here. And now they want to lease the lake, make entry paid, and appropriate everything that we have done over seven years,” the entrepreneur said.
