A seminar-meeting with representatives of the volunteer patrol headquarters of the Vitebsk region was held at the regional executive committee
The event brought together participants from all regions of the Dvina land. The best organizers of volunteer patrol work were recognized with letters of appreciation and certificates from the regional executive committee and the internal affairs department.
Over 2800 volunteer patrol members are engaged in public service in the region, working closely with territorial internal affairs bodies. With the participation of volunteer patrol members from Vitebsk region, 858 administrative offenses were suppressed; 312 residences under the control of territorial internal affairs bodies were inspected; 826 individuals undergoing preventive measures were visited; 9 wanted individuals were identified.
The work of volunteer patrols was highly praised by the First Deputy Head of the Internal Affairs Department of the Regional Executive Committee, Chief of Public Security Police, Colonel Alexey Shakhovich:
– The assistance of volunteer police assistants is very important in everyday life, as well as during events of national and regional significance. You helped maintain public order during the Unified Voting Day in February 2024 and will again do so during the upcoming presidential elections, ensuring the safety of our citizens on the streets of cities and small settlements through overtime work. One cannot be forced to be a volunteer patrol member – one becomes one by calling of the heart, for which we thank you very much!
