A New Year's rally of student and volunteer detachments was held at the Vitebsk Oblast Media Center
The New Year's gathering of student and volunteer detachments "We are Building Tomorrow" brought together active representatives of the region's youth movements at the Vitebsk Region Media Center and online.
– Fighters of the student detachment movement and volunteers of the "Kind Heart" movement are young people with an active civic stance and kind hearts, who, in addition to their studies, find time for social work and are creating their future. They understand that labor makes a person a worthy citizen of our country. This year, over 7,000 young people were employed in the Vitebsk region – this is a good foundation for the future. Young people are attracted to foreign detachments, but we want to increase the number of host organizations for student detachments specifically in the Vitebsk region. It's great that the volunteer movement is developing. More attention should be paid to the elderly in remote villages. People often lack communication and attention, and our volunteers can provide this to them, – noted Marina Novitskaya, Head of the Main Department of Ideological Work and Youth Affairs of the Regional Executive Committee.
