Vitebsk announced the winners of the popular contest for the best logo of "Slavianski Bazaar – 2023"
The winners of the competition to create a logo for the XXXII Festival of Arts "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk" have been determined in the city on the Dvina River.
By tradition, each new "Slavianski Bazaar" has its own cornflower, meaning its own corporate logo and style. This is the logo that appears on all city posters, adorns the main stage of the forum – the Summer Amphitheater, and "blooms" on numerous souvenirs that guests of the holiday will later take home. This year, the Directorate of the International Festival of Arts "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk" decided to experiment – they announced a public competition to create a logo for the next "cornflower" forum. Students from many specialized Belarusian universities and colleges, artists and designers from Vitebsk and beyond responded to this interesting offer.
Maria Voytekhovskaya, Head of the Press Service of the "Vitebsk" Cultural Center, shared:
— A total of over 140 works were submitted for the judgment of the competent jury. Each one is talented, bright, and original in its own way. It was truly not easy to make a choice! And we decided in favor of several winners at once, dividing the cash prize among them. Based on active discussion, four contestants were among the best of the best. These are Vitebsk residents Anna Tavalzhanskaya, Elena Miklushova, and Alexander Kholstinnikov, as well as Rinat Gadzhiev from the agro-town of Priluki, Minsk region.
Very soon, they will all receive commemorative diplomas and rewards. How the prize money will be distributed will be announced exactly at noon on January 12 at "Dukhovskoy Kruglik".
Since there are four winners, the festival directorate logically assumed that the final logo of the XXXII "Slavianski Bazaar" would most likely become a kind of reflection and continuation of all the winning projects at once.
