Dmitry Khoma headed the Vitebsk Regional Commission for the Election of the President of Belarus
The leadership of the Vitebsk Regional Commission for the Election of the President of the Republic of Belarus was elected at the first meeting. The commission members unanimously elected Dmitry Khoma, Head of the Main Department for Education of the Regional Executive Committee, as chairman. He expressed gratitude for the trust placed in him and emphasized the importance of the commission's work.
– The commission plays a key role in organizing and coordinating the observance of electoral legislation in the region, – noted Dmitry Khoma. – We are obliged to ensure the implementation of the Electoral Code and guarantee the principles of fair and equal voting for all participants in the process. Our goal is to create conditions under which every citizen of the Vitebsk region can freely express their opinion and vote for their candidate.
During the meeting, traditional issues stipulated by the Electoral Code were also considered, including the election of a deputy chairman and a secretary of the commission. The working hours, duty schedule, and work plan were approved, and other organizational issues were discussed. The Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee, Alexander Subbotin, wished the commission members successful work and high-quality conduct of the election campaign in accordance with the legislation.
